Ryan Carter

Hey there, fellow gamer! I’m Ryan Carter, but most people in the gaming world know me by my handle — Ryzen. I’m the founder of Lan World Gaming, a lifelong fan of multiplayer games, and someone who believes that the best matches happen not just online, but when friends gather in the same room and game like it’s 1999.

My journey began in the early 2000s, when LAN parties were the heart of the gaming scene. We’d carry heavy CRT monitors, string Ethernet cables across living rooms, and play into the early morning. There was something raw, exciting, and unforgettable about those nights — and that spirit still drives me today.

Over the years, I’ve played everything from Quake III Arena to Valorant, Dota 2, Minecraft, and beyond. I’ve built gaming PCs from scratch, hosted dozens of local LAN tournaments, and met amazing people along the way. And now, through Lan World Gaming, I want to give something back to the community that shaped me.

Here’s what I believe:

  • Gaming should be social, creative, and competitive — all at once.
  • LAN parties aren’t dead. They’re evolving.
  • Real connections happen when players share space, not just servers.

Through my blog and community, I share setup tips, gear reviews, game strategies, and personal stories from years of gaming. Whether you’re here to organize your first LAN event or just curious about optimizing your team’s communication, I’ve got content for you.

When I’m not gaming or writing, you’ll find me tweaking my setup, testing new headsets, or brewing a strong cup of coffee to power one more match. I’m always down for a conversation — reach out, comment, or join the community.

Let’s bring the LAN spirit back, one game at a time.
